ADR-002 — Multi-Business-Unit Tenancy

Decision

A Tenant supports multiple Business Units, Brands, Locations and Sites.

Business Units own operational offerings/resources and each has one Primary Vertical Preset. Tenant-level services such as identity, subscription, customer identity, CRM policy and integrations may be shared according to configuration and authorization.

Locations and Business Units have a many-to-many relationship.

Consequences

• a resort location can host Hotel + Restaurant + Spa Business Units;
• another tenant can operate Villas + Golf;
• yacht/marina/excursion combinations require no new Tenant model;
• one Business Unit may operate at several Locations;
• tenant-wide identity and commercial policy can coexist with Business-Unit-scoped operational permissions.
